Absinthe last night was amazing. Not nearly as obscene as it could have been, but still fucking amazing. It was just an amazing celebration of life. It's a shame it'll lower the curtain tomorrow evening. But if anyone in the NYC Metro area is reading this, if you can get tickets, do it. They're so worth the $70. Plus Spiegel is really fucking awesome and is a 5 minute walk from where I live. Too bad summer is officially ending for them tomorrow which means byebye beergarden, byebye Spiegeltent. Waah.
I went to MoMA yesturday (I heart free-days) and drooled over the design floor some more. I just love that shit. Sometimes I wish I had grown up to be a designer instead of a playwright/screenwriter. Oh well. What the fuck ever. Maybe I can do both like some crazy maverick woman.
Oh, about that Jeff Lewis/Adam Green concert...Adam Green was so drunk. Drunk to the point where he couldn't manage any resemblence of crowd control (a crowd full of assholes and douchebags by the way), or remember any of his lyrics. To say the least, we left early. Though Jeffrey & Jack Lewis were fucking amazing! And Seth Fergozia and G. Crane were there! For those of you not in the know, they are the two fronters of my favorite band of all time: Dufus. We didn't make it over to talk to them like a lot of people were, but still, I was within 20 feet of literally the coolest people on the planet.
And I saw Neil Labute's new play, Wrecks, too. It's a monologue play which is just incredible because those things almost never work, though uhm..Ed fucking Harris did an amazing job with it. Luke and I were more than enthralled. Plus, we saw Jackass 2 afterward, which really balanced the evening out quite well.
