Wow, that's very impressive! Yeah, managers always hate the special projects that nibble away at the day to day, but I hope he comes around. Sounds like it would be lots of good challenge and exposure.

Thanks a lot. Yeah, it would be. I'm pretty optimistic, because (as Jim told me) my BBoss' own BBoss is solidly behind this.

Jim is so cool. He's giving us a blank slate, and although senior management is expecting him to come back in a couple of weeks with preliminary plans for this year, he's gonna send us instead. Which would be my first real exposure at that level. Which would be pretty frightening/thrilling.
