Glorfindel week!
I just found out that there is a fandom-wide Glorfindel week starting tomorrow. Since he is absolutely the one character I write most frequenly, I need to participate.
The prompts (linked above) are basically: Valinor, Helcaraxe, Gondolin, Romance (disturbingly mentioning his horse), the Fall of Gondolin, Reawakening, Imladris.
My new G/E stories do not exactly fit into these prompts. I was thinking about doing some drabbles? I am feeling a bit uninspired, though. I do not like handling obvious topics straight on. Here are some ideas. Additional inspo welcome.
-- Valinor: No clue. I should think about this period of his life, but it is such short notice!
-- Helcaraxe: My G was a scout on skis there. Also one time some of his hair froze and broke off. I could write about that trauma. (It's also where he really noticed Ecthelion, a moment I have described obliquely. Is it too cheesy to describe that straight up?)
-- Gondolin: I might post the new G/E story, since it's about building the city. It's Ecthelion POV but it's really primarily about how awesome Glorfindel is (according to E's subconsious).
-- Romance: No idea.
-- The Fall: OMG I have a draft of a G POV Fall fic. I think it might be too overwrought though.
-- Reawakening: I have a draft of the guys on the ship to M-e talking about, er, things and stuff. Maybe I could finish it? But it's got too much Ecthelion.
-- Imladris: Maybe I could finish my painting of Rivendell and add a little G to it? I have not painted in a week though so I need to get my hand back. Otherwise, IDK, there is actually a lot to write about.
In RL news, I am in Zueri again and it's amazing. I had forgotten that spending time with old friends is not tiring at all.
