Gossip Girl:

So I am friggin confused. Why did Serena and Dan break up? Because Serena can't help using her privileges (and, dude, if I was stuck in an elevator and I could get help by saying my name, I totally would) and Dan can't get over the fact that the world is not, has never, and will never be fair. God, Dan. Get over your poor living-in-Brooklyn butt. I mean, Jesus. You go to one of the best schools in the country (on scholarship), live in one of the most opportunity-filled cities in the world (in a decent-sized apartment in a decent neighborhood), and have a rock-star dad and a future-fashion-designer sister. But you have to wait until the blackout ends to get out of the elevator, whereas a Van der Woodsen  will get helped sooner. Oh, yes, Dan. Your life majorly sucks. To use the words of another drama queen, "dear God, would the catastrophes never end?"

And oh, poor Chuck. All these women, and you can't get it up? I am so very sorry. That must be hell. LOL.

I like that Blair admitted that she did know it was Chuck all along (because, well, duh), and that Marcus admitted that she was only after his title (because, well, duh). And Chuck's momentary British accent ("Blow out your candle") was hot. As was his purple shirt.

Vanessa continues to be annoying as Nate continues to be boring. And God, Vanessa, don't you think Nate deserves to know that if he breaks it off with the woman he wants to break up with anyway she'll give his dad away. I think Vanessa thinks a little too much of herself... does she really think she's the only reason Nate wanted to break it off with the older woman who is using him for sex? He's not Chuck, Vanessa dear.

Oh. And Jenny. Um... does anyone really care?

SCC:

Not as good as last week. Possibly because of the lack of the Montage of Amazingness. It was interesting to see Sarah battle her fears with the cancer-thing but I think it was a little deliberate. She was already at a power plant, which most associate with radiation, and therefore cancer. I think we could have done without the cancer survivor.

I also would have been fine without John's fuzzy new friendship with the random blond who he obviously does not care about (partly because he's known her for a few hours, and partly because he brought her to his house. His house where various psychotic robots come to kill his family every few days. Um. Yeah). And seriously. She just ended up sleeping over? I don't really see Sarah being okay with that (what with the psychotic robots... secret psychotic robots). Or any normal parents of a teenage girl. But okay. Whatever. It's John's little rebellion thing, which I get. I bet he falls in love with her, though, and then she either dies or he leaves her so she'll be safe.

And, heh:

John: So, am I safe?
Cameron: I don't know. Girls are difficult.
