work

i am so god damn tired this morning. phone rang at midnight - one of my drivers broke down. he thought it was a bearing on the wheel - so panic ensued. he's in an area with no cell service, we don't know exactly where he is, and he's got a load of grain on the back of the truck. so obviously when i get the phone call and woken up - i don't sleep 100% because i'm worried.

get into work and by 8:30 we still haven't heard from him. dwain finally gets a call, and we start phoning around for tow trucks and thinking how we're going to get another truck out there. so i make calls to both ken and tom and arrange to get him towed. dwain's working on getting another truck there (none of the ones we have in armstrong have safety's on them... damnit) so al gets involved.

pete calls back. it's not a bearing problem, the brackets which hold the air tank busted, so the tank is sitting right on the driveshaft banging around. so pete manages to gerry rig the truck enough, to possibly make it to boston bar. (he's broke down on the canyon at spence's bridge) call ken back to let him know we don't need a tow, and ask cathy and ian at kal tire in boston bar if they can take a look at it. pete's going to go in and hopefully ian can weld it.

all in all - it's been a worrysome day, my head hurts and the road sucks. i'm really glad to know i've got some contacts from where i used to work that would be able to help me in situations like this. at least i know if i need help, they're there for me.

and now.. dear lord i need a nap.
