so true.

the one thing i cannot stand more than just about anything else is the enormous group of people devoted to "uniqueness," but only commercial uniqueness. I call it this because theyre not good for shit. they preach and preach and preach about how everybody is such a conformist. Its not just that people want to be like the crowd -- sometimes they have to be. sometimes you just have to go along with other people in a decision, or an action, or whatever the case may be, because it is NECESSARY. it is the right thing to do, and it is efficient; whereas you have your folks clad in "unique" ties, plaid, pure black, whatever it is they think makes them personally singled out, that are sitting back watching people work as a whole. theyre sitting back watching everything going on, watching everything change and fluctuate and act, while they merely get in the way and act upon nothing but ignorance and arrogance, all the while claiming that theyre the better half by not participating.

Somebody, I know it, is going to think I'm arrogant and ignorant myself for the " 'unique' ties, plaid, pure black " comment, and most of those people that think this are going to be the folks completely ignoring my point entirely. I'm not saying people that dress like this are shitheads, no. I wear all black on occasion because I consider it a classy color. I'm talking about the people that not only wear this because they consider it the only option that leads to 'nonconformity,' but the people that complain about the people that do not wear black, or the people that sit on their ass and watch the so-called "conformists" go to work and make things happen.

Hm.

Apologies for the relatively short rant, but I want to go play Zelda ok.

oh bytheway. jeremy, neil, shawn and i totally had a 5 hour band practice today. rock rock rock.

leave some [sensible] comments at the rant at hand, i like feedback, and i like arguing a point. a lot.
