"Oh, well, is wasn't as bad as the witch trials curse." or "It couldn't be as bad as that candied hearts business." I've seen far too many civilizations fall because of negligence and petty feuds to put much stock in you people, it's probably why I've never been one for politics. That, and I think I got quite enough of it in Rome.
