Quilting, Writing, Fandom Hopping, and Work
Since it's been almost a month and you've heard practically nothing from me, it should come as no surprise that I've got a few things to talk about and update all of you on. <3 *grins* Sorry in advance for the spammage.
[QUILTING:] Yeah, no, seriously! xD When my mom came home from the hospital, she stopped by and hijacked me a few days later. She took me with her to do her errands (this only last for an hour at most before she was pale, trembling, exhausted, and struggling to breathe).
Apparently, she's been doing the whole quilting thing for a long time now. o__o I never really tool interest in sewing, but thisfishflies is always talking about sewing things and it gave me pause for consideration. It was around then I decided that, yeah, I could probably get into that! xD
So, I browsed through the fabric in the aisle and immediately found some perfect pieces of cloth! o__o Perfect for making quilt/blankets for myself, thisfishflies, and c00kie! Here, let me show you what I mean:
For c00kie:
Yeah, Cook looooves Orca and I've found that Orca are kind of hard to come by... so when I found this it was perfect. Especially now that it's been dubbed (Thanks to Fish), "The Incestuous threatening Orca Rape Quilt." lmao, don't even ask! xD
For thisfishflies:
Well, I thought that was pretty perfect for Fish, because, hey-- fish! xD This isn't the only fish designs I have though. There's going to be a lot more to it than that. I have some really creepy realistic fish to use too. Hehehehe. Oh fishes.
And For Myself:
Everybody who really knows me knows that I love/adore/obsess over cows. Don't ask why, I couldn't tell you. Just know that I do. A lot. <3
[WRITING FIC:] As you've probably noticed, I haven't thrown out any fic in awhile. This is due to my brain temporarily melting and my laziness. The truth is: I have maybe 3-4 fics right now that are almost completely ready to be posted. The problem? I wrote them on Twitter and, therefore, need to be edited.
I find it about a million times easier to write fic on Twitter or via a text message for some reason. I think it has something to do with the lack of pressure. When I start writing my fics, I have every intention for them to be short, tiny things. Knowing this actually makes it easier for them to turn into something 5 times longer. I don't really stop and edit them as I write them either, they just pop out and it's just... hmm, I don't know, freeing? :D
Anyway, I've been suffering from an acute lack of motivation lately, so, that's why nothing's been happening. Sorry! If I have enough time today, I may post one that's almost finished. What do you think? <3
[FANDOM HOPPING:] Yes, I know, it's horrible-- but it's the truth. I've been doing the dreaded fandom hopping for the last month now. I've been popping (mainly) from SPN to SGA to HP and a little ST. Which, really, isn't too bad. They are my main fandoms. I've been mostly focused on HP lately though. I guess it's just that time of year, though! o__o Once every year I will read a ton of fics for it all at once. Haha, some habits never die. XD
Unfortunately, this does mean that I've been neglecting Supernatural a lot in the past month. When I say "neglect" I mean "It's been a month since I've watched any episodes." Ugh, I know! *face palm* I have yet to watch the last three most recent episodes and I hear they're really slashy, too! I'm sorry! You guys should motivate me to watch them or something-- if I watch them, it will probably motivate me to write more!
[WORK:] Blah, work has been really sucky lately. Mainly because I've some people quit on Trayline and now I'm suddenly being tossed around like a bowl of salad. D: Suckage! I had gotten used to my normal schedule, you know. Now I never know when I'm going to be coming in and they're throwing me out on Trayline almost three times more often with longer hours. D': I really hate that. A lot.
On the plus side, when I work in the call center, I get to read fic on my phone, write fic on the computer (background), and occasionally take calls from hungry people... sometimes I even get to read to people. Haha! I'll be reading Harry Potter to Camille next-- can you believe that she's barely ever even heard of it before?! She's my age, too! WTF. XD
OH! AWESOME! *flails gleefully* Work just called me. They want me to come in a half hour early (yeah, that sucks), but instead of putting me on Trayline like they originally had planned to today, they're going to put me in the call center. YAY! *pumps fist enthusiastically*
