[After days of rain, the sun feels wonderful. One day of sun was enough to draw Jilly away from her studio and out into the village proper...not drawing, for once, but just soaking in the warmth and people watching. She'd perched on the edge of the fountain with a cup of coffee and made up stories for the people she didn't know...or silly secrets for the ones she did.

Two days of sun, though, was enough to dry the ground. So when she got the urge to return to her paints, she didn't head inside. Instead, she set up her pochade box on the lawn of House 7, acquired every bowl from the kitchen (hope no one wanted cereal, today), and filled them with all the colors of paint she could find.

Bowls strewn all around her, she can be found lying on her stomach in the grass, looking even messier than usual as she dips her fingers into the paints and traces bright streaks across the canvas. Next to her, there's a stack of unused canvases for later...or for others, if anyone decides to join.

...Later, as she waits for the first coat of paint to dry, she picks up her journal. Paint smears the edges of the paper as she turns to a new page and cheerily addresses a question to the village]

What do you think it actually means to be grown up?
