16th Fairy Tale § Voice/Action
[backdated like woah to earlier in the morning]
[The rock and sway of the Britannia was soothing as Jilly woke, pulling a blanket close as she shifted on the cot Archie and H had set up for her. Still half-dreaming, she sleepily searched for the explanation of where she was. She remembered Horatio taking her on a tour of the completed ship, holding her-
-hand...
Wait.
Sitting up with a start, Jilly nearly upset the hanging cot, causing it to swing violently with the movement. And, very quickly, she realized another problem.
Going from big to little wasn't so bad. At least, not here. Here people were helpful and protective and safe.
Going from little to big, however, was proving more problematic. A great deal more problematic. Particularly in the realm of clothes. Because the oversized t-shirt Jilly had been wearing to sleep in was, well, still oversized... but nowhere near enough.
A few words are said that, only a few hours before, she hadn't known. And then, as quietly as she can manage, she raids the Captain's cabin in the hopes that Archie and Horatio have already planned ahead for nights at sea....
Which is why, after a bit of successful rummaging, she will be carefully emerging from the cabin as an adult woman and very much swimming in oversized clothing. The large shirt has been tucked in to help keep the pants up, her original t-shirt underneath to offer an extra layer of clothing, and Horatio's fishing jacket has also been pilfered and wrapped tightly around her.
Guess who's back?
Once she's back on shore, it's back to House 7 for some actual clothes...and a much delayed announcement]
There's a lot I could say...and a lot of people I should probably say it to, but I'll start with this.
