That would be a relief, certainly. Though from all I've heard about those in charge-- if they are behind the arrivals here--, I should not expect them to be so merciful.

I'm afraid I'm rather a cynic in matters like this. I fear my thoughts are that, for whatever purpose we are brought here, children are less useful, so they are less common.

The children we have here are wonderful. And I know we couldn't protect them from everything, even if this place was like the one we'd left behind. But so many of the risks here are the kind that no child should have to face.

In some ways it's not very different from anywhere else, I'd guess. There are wonderful people here. And some who are less so. And some of the strangeness here is as awe-inspiring as it is frightening.
But it's also all a little exaggerated. The good and the magical is like something from a fairy tale, and so is the bad and the terrifying.

We'll probably be getting another experiment soon. Hopefully it won't be a bad one, this time around, but they seem to happen after the New Feathers have had a chance to settle in.
Are there many children here?
