[thankfully, one surprise voice is enough to clue her in to what's happened, so she's almost expecting it when Archie's voice comes through, and the tone in it immediately brings a smile]

I've had the rough sketch of it started for ages, but I thought I might try to do something...more. Maybe in charcoals?

Jack Aubrey. He's a senior post captain, back home. I never met him, but he's a jolly sort, very likable. We've decided to make a tradition of dining together once a week.
