Let me rearrange your "ugh" into a "hug"
WOW! What a day it was. I wasn't expecting to get anything for Valentine's Day, but I ended up getting quite a lot...and having a very good day to boot. So I gotta share of course!
First up, I got to hang out with Bev in the morning, which is always fun. She's gearing up for her Hawaii trip and I just keep egging on her enthusiasm. I really think she's gonna have a great time over there.
So after that it was off to work, just another normal day in the lab...HDO and Writing 101 were pretty average too...
But after Writing 101, when I went outside to head for my Japanese class, it was raining. I made kind of an "ugh, rain" facial expression...and this girl (she was really attractive, by the way) who I'd never seen before stopped, looked at me, and held out her hand like she was gonna give me something. So, I held out my hand and she dropped in a chocolate, saying "Happy Valentine's Day!" So of course I said "Hey thanks!" with a surprised grin.
I have no idea who she was, or why she gave me that, but it totally made my day. Maybe it was the look on my face that screamed "LONELY BITTER GUY" or maybe she was just giving them to every guy she saw, who knows, but wow. Just wow.
I'm screwed on White Day because I'll never find her again.
In Japanese, we all got chocolate from Sensei (the teacher), so I've had way too much chocolate today. Our boss in the office gave everyone chocolate chip cookies too, and I had some more chocolate chip cookies in my lunch.
Which reminds me, I got to work an extra hour shift today. I covered for a girl named Karen, but that's not so important...except that I wore her nametag for giggles.
So after that, I went to look up another source for our latest Writing 101 essay. I found a book that looked really good, but couldn't even save the preview from the website...so some quick bus planning later, I headed out for Borders.
Turns out that the book is out of print. Rargh.
Then, at the bus stop, I saw a girl who looked like someone I know: Lily. I didn't think it was her until we were about to get on the bus, and sure enough it was! Hadn't seen her in a while, so that was cool. She gave me a lollypop too, for the win.
Backing up, I also saw a girl at the bus stop with pigtails and thought "Wow, she stole Kirby's hairstyle." When I got sat down on the bus, some other girl calls to me from the front, "...Ryan?!"
... . . . IT WAS KIRBY!!!
WHOA!
But I didn't recognize her because she didn't have her hair up in pigtails (she wasn't the girl at the bus stop, she was already on the bus), and it was also brown instead of blonde which I'm more used to seeing. Anyway I got to talk to her and that was really awesome because I nearly never get to talk to her anymore.
So, to recap:
Bev, random cute girl, Karen (somewhat), Lily, and Kirby. Got lots of chocolates and an extra hour of work (extra hour of PAY, haha).
I only got one hug though, from Bu-chan. Who is a guy. So it's a hug but there were no boobs involved? Or something like that. Whatever!
I wonder if anything else interesting is going to happen tonight. =3
