So without scholarships or whatnot, my first year is basically the following, in Canadian Dollars.
A friend who lives in the New York region told me that for the school that she wanted to go to in the states, it would have cost her $40,000 US/year. I'm assuming that includes the cost of living on campus, books, food expenses, and the basic budget that she would have for other things. However, she was contemplating going to the University of British Columbia, in the province next door to my own, which would only cost her $16,000/year. I'm assuming that's also in USD. But still. Forty grand each freaking year. And she was going to try to get an English major. So she wasn't even going into the sciences and it would cost her that much! Yeesh.
Have I mentioned I love being Canadian?
But still, it's a lot of money. For all the people that added this journal in the states (thanks again by the way!), how much do you guys pay per year for schooling there? I understand that some of you go to community colleges, and some of you go to universities. I'm really interested to know -- before scholarships or whatnot as well.
