Revolutionary Diaries.
I was never much of a revolutionary, nor much of Egyptian. Actually, the most revolutionary action I came up with was moving from my calm and always sleeping city in the middle of Mother Russia to the crowded and sleepless Egyptian capital for good. Likewise all revolutions, this narrowly-escaped change made me reconsider my entire mindset, for the reason that I had to face totally diverse and controversial society, which I could not really understand… till recently.
Notwithstanding the fact that my life is and has always been a part of a history in regards to my increasing age, it never occurred to me that it takes only a couple of days for great events to take place. Basically, history was not more than past events, which you can only read about or see in the museum. And being in love with monotone flow of life, I could not even allow myself to think that one day I will be a part of the most inspiring, remarkable and unprecedented event of the modern history. “There is nothing new in Egypt. Egyptians are making history… as usual.” - said Prime Minister of Italy, well, if that is so, then I have been making a history of this country within my family.
Brutality, Corruption, Egoism, Poverty

“On June 6, an Alexandrian boy Khaled Mohamed Said was found dead under disputed circumstances. Multiple witnesses testified that Khaled was beaten to death by the police.” Activists created a Facebook page called “We are all Khaled Said” in order to bring international attention to the situation in Egypt.
