Loch's Consumer Report--Bonbons

Oct 29, 2007 12:24

Okay, so I bought some pretty silvery metallic Bonbons loose eyeshadow and had quite the interesting reaction to it. I have been googling the company, but so far can only find places that sell it, but not the company website itself. If anyone knows what this is, please let me know. I want to inform them so that they can do something about their ingredients.

I had only used it one day and later that night I started throwing up. I didn't even think it could have been the makeup, but I do recall looking in the mirror and wondering why my eyes were much puffier than normal. Also, my vision seemed a bit blurred earlier that day. I didn't consider the eye shadow until the next morning when I caught my reflection. It looks like the blood vessels around my eyes had all burst. I have hundreds of little red dots from under my eyebrow to my upper cheekbone. It doesn't itch or burn, but I have to tell ya, I thought I might be a goner when I was throwin' up. ^_^;;

I have an allergic reaction to some kind of metal, but I'm not sure which. I thought it was silver, but someone else suggested that it might be the nickel that they put with silver jewelry. I don't know what was in this eye shadow, but I suspect there was some kind of metal that I had a bad reaction to.

It's a shame because it is such a pretty color, but I wanted you all to know so you would stay away from that stuff and be mindful of any allergies when purchasing cosmetics and look at the ingredients list.

I love nectarines.

XOXOX,
Loch
