Emo Boys Make the World Go Round
On top of having needed a new motherboard, I now need a new processor. Thankfully, if I just ebayed the correct one, it should only run me around $40. All in all, not too bad. Its enough to last for now, and maybe by the end of the year I can get a new computer to replace it.
Today was excellent. The Japanese Student Association, which my roommate is a member of, hosted their annual Japan Cultural Festival. Liz, her daughter, my little sister and I all went to it. We had a blast and watched a karate demonstration, my roommate's boyfriend's band perform, a tea ceremony, and a kendo demonstration. We also enjoyed calpico flavored shaved ice, takoyaki and yakisoba for lunch. We did that game where you fish for colorful yo-yo balloons, and the girls tried their hands at calligraphy. Liz's daughter did her name, and my little sister did "sweet".
After the fair we went to see Horton Hears a Who which was really good. Jesse McCartney did one of the voices. He has TOTALLY been typecast. >.> That being said, he did play one of the best characters in the movie. XD
Then we went out to dinner at the Dynasty Buffet and had sushi as well as steak and shrimp from the hibachi. It was a great dinner, for way cheap. Though I think they don't expect people to come and eat only the sushi and not touch any of the chinese food. XD
