Falling away from me
Well lets see, today is Thursday...I worked yesterday, and I am off today...but work tomorrow. They schedualed me every other day all week...I didnt work sunday, worked monday, not tuesday...but wednesday, not thursday but friday and not on saturday...
The job doesnt bother me, everyone is nice and they have all made me feel welcome, however I dont think I will be working there for much longer, I will...yes, go back to the Chalet. I am being paid minimum wage, and they are only giving me like 20 hours per week...as you could well imagine, Its almost nothing. Next to that, I was told that I would be moved to the meat department in 2-3 weeks...but I was talking to a girl before one of my shifts and she told me that deli, meat and bakery depts. make the same wage, $7.50. Ok...well, they will still only be giving me 20-24 hours per week, which just blows. You HAVE to join union after your probation period is over...which is 90 days...when you join union, you have to pay $230 AND quarterly dues of $100 which is $400 a year. Next to ALL that, you dont get a raise until you have been in the union for one year...which means with probation and the year it would be 13 months to move from $7.50....thats just lame as hell. At the chalet I was being paid $8.00 with 36-38 hours a week. If you remember that stupid strike a few months ago that lasted...shit like 8 months? the policy was changed after that...the benefits arent there, they arent paying well...and they give shit hours...what the hell? That kind of job is for a highschool student...not me...I was told getting into the markets was good, yeah maybe a year ago or something. Its just not worth it to me...

Yeah...Talked to cat yesterday...she just makes me smile so much, something I need right now...Im so happy. I know, I know...I never stop talking about her...but hey...its my journal!!! ;)
