Livejournal can kiss my ass

Feb 28, 2005 21:13

I just typed up an entry for it to tell me that my journal is in read-only mode. This is not the first time that has happened, and if it continues I'm going to pull a Matt and abandon this thing. They don't need to be doing maintenance bullcrap on every server on every freaking day...and if they do then this sucks more that I thought and I'm not going to waste my time typing shit just to have it lost because of their peice of crap servers and poor job at servicing them.

END RANT.

So anyways...what I DID say was that I'm in love with this keyboard. I don't know why I disliked it so much at first, but I love everything about it now, and I haven't even done any editing. Aside from the pianos, everything is perfect, including the sounds, action, and pitch wheel. I hated the pitch wheel when I first tried it but now that I'm used to it I think that Alesis has my favorite wheels out of any company. They're in a strange place though, which would be very awkward with an 88-key model. So hopefully tomorrow I'll install the software and get into the whole editing deal with it, which from what I gather should be pretty sweet...4 way layering and monophonic abilities is definitely a step up from what I had going before.

And yesterday I went out to dinner with most of the people from my group on the retreat...I think it was 14 out of 17. That was fun getting everyone together again and being goofy and telling stories and such. Heard some pretty interesting and awesome stuff. Then on the way home, the guy driving the car I was in got up past 65 (on a 45 mph road) while we were racing some other people from our group in another car, and then the guy in the backseat with me started freaking out and yelling about how it was criminal speeding. El oh el. Then we threw a pencil at their car at the next stoplight right as we turned right to get into my neighborhood. Perfect shot...went in and hit the girl on the passenger side just as she rolled the window down.
