(no subject)
I haven't really updated in quite a long while, so here goes:
In early May I went up to Orlando for what will likely be the last time I go there. I took the trip up for Nick's commissioning into the Army. There was a hella party which involved alcohol, stitches (not mine), destruction of property (felony) and vomit (not mine). It was a great way to send off my Orlando days.
Nick's commissioning was something else. It was all of his family and me so I felt really special to be there. Watching him swear in was one of the proudest moments I've yet had in my life. To say that I've been a part of someone's life who's done so well as Nick has is a wonderful thing. I know he'll go on to do great things. And blow up great things.
Things with Kristin have gone fantastically well, almost to the point that I don't really believe that it's happening. We're moving in together in a house in the North Cape at the end of this month. I love her and I love her children. Being around them all has been incredibly satisfying on a very simple level. They make me happy, and I'm so excited to be moving into my first real place.
Life is progressing at a frighteningly fast speed.
Now if only I could get work to give me full time. Damn recession is breaking my balls.
