those of you wondering why i cried at work...
"The manager" called me into the back room after I punched out to have a talk. Here I thought it was a good talk...so wrong.
"Chante, I want you to tell me the truth when I ask this question. You promise? The truth?"
-....yes...
"who wrote your name on the calender to request a day off?"
-...I did...
"You're not allowed to write on there. You cant put your own name, a manager has to do it. You're supposed to get written up for corrective action for doing that."
-im sorry. I had no idea. Ive always written my own name on there for the past 3 years Ive worked here. I just say "hey can i request a day off?" and the manager says "yea as long as its not full, go ahead and write your name down (he actually cut me off saying it doesnt matter)
Then he says
"well you should know that you're not allowed. (even though i just said i had no idea)
then:
"If you do get scheduled that day and dont show or call off, we will have to terminate your position. I dont know if you wrote your own name on there because you were trying to get it off behind our backs, or if it was an honest mistake (already said i had no idea....) but you can get corrective action for that. I wouldnt expect this type of behavior from your. You're one of our best employees."
blah blah.
Wow. My eyes were just watering. Not only would he not listen to me that I was given permission to write on there AND I did it wit a manager in the room...but he threatened my job. Ive NEVER just called in for a shift like that.
Wow.
So there I was, walking out of work all teary eyed. I wasnt "Crying" i was just watering....but here I am wishing and hoping i get full time, then I get yelled at for that.
AND IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS PHYSICALLY WRITTEN THEIR NAME DOWN THEMSELVES. Not that i wanna get anyone in trouble...but i wish someone was there to back me up...
i mean 3 years?

I really, really...want to go work somewhere where they actually take time and care about your feelings and will at LEAST listen to your side.
