No Holds Barred
Yes, I somehow managed to work the phrase "no holds barred" into my story today and it passed first edit without any questions. Sweet. I don't even know if it's the right context (you'd probably know, eh eva?), but it seemed appropriate to me. I tend to overuse that phrase ... kind of like "inconceiveable" in "The Princess Bride" when Inigo Montoya tells Vizzini, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." Hmm.
Anyone remember that movie from '89 with Hulk Hogan:
I totally tried to add it to my Blockbuster.com queue and they shot me down. I guess it's only on VHS. I should start a petition or a letter-writing campaign to have it put on DVD. Because you know that shit would be a good laugh.
