Score! I have been wanting to see this guy at the Alameda County Fair or at his pizzeria, Pyzano's, in Castro Valley but I hadn't until today! And I got paid to do it! And I got to interview him. I had to play it cool though and not be overly excited, heh heh. Anyway, I'm just obsessed with anything Food Network related. He's a nine-time world pizza champion ... eight times for tossing and now for the best margherita pizza (this was in Naples, Italy, people). Anyway, I sampled his dessert pizza (a three-berry w/ marscapone cheese) and his Cal-Italia (had fig preserves on it!). Delish. Now I have to write the article ... maybe I should've waited to post this til after so I could put up a link Oh well.
Anyway, yay.
P.S. - FYI to DAN: This guy, a world champion pizza maker, put red onions on a pizza -- NOT sauteed. :D
Either way, our pizzas, pie and pizza pies were superb.
