New York City?!?
I have made the difficult decision to follow my long time dream and move to New York City!
I am venturing north from the only area I've ever known as home for a life that I'm not sure of. I don't have a job yet (I really am just now starting to look) and I don't have a place in the city to live (I will be staying with my cousin in Trenton until I figure something permanent out).
This means that I am looking for a job ... officially! I told my boss about it yesterday and he supports me in the decision because he knows what a dream of mine it has been for me to move to NYC. I am planning on being done with Adam & Eve at the end of December and am looking to move in the middle of January.
Anyone with any knowledge of people hiring marketing/public relations/html/waiter/bartender guy, please, please let them know I am interested and to email me at danny at edanny dot com. I am going to England tomorrow for two weeks and plan on really hitting the job search / housing search hard when I get home.
I really want to live in Manhattan ... I've always wanted to. Anyone who has any ideas, or knows anyone I can talk to who has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.
I am totally stoked and totally scared at the same time. To say it has been of a dream of mine to live in NYC since I was like, eight or something, isn't exaggerating. I am going to hate to leave all my friends who live here but if I don't go now, I may never go. Yeesh! Nervous!
Anyway, I am open to all types of support (mostly job related ... I can handle just about everything else). If you know of someone who is hiring in NYC, lemme know!
