(no subject)
Why am I still up? This is a great question. Because I just spent 45 minutes looking for something to buy on Amazon.com to fill out a $25 order so I could get the free shipping. My original order totalled $14.00 or so bucks and with shipping, I would have been paying $20 for an item. So, if I spend five bucks more .... yadda yadda yadda. You know where this goes. Damn, Amazon has me figured out. I keep trying to steal from them to build our site. I picked up The Power and the Glory (songs from the NFL Films library) and the Greatest College Fights songs because, well, they totalled a little over $14 bucks and it's almost football season.
Went to see Pirates of the Caribbean with smileattherain. The movie featured Capt. Jack Sparrow, the first flaming homosexual pirate that I've known of. Movie was great even if the Twizzler Guy (tm) next to Lyd kept rummaging through his Twizzler bag. Already bought the soundtrack because it was just that good. Same guy who did K-19 (the bad accented Harrison Ford submarine movie). See note above for where I picked it up from.
Also had the opportunity to be on the other side of the interview desk today. giantsteps made a post awhile ago about people's dress at interviews and that if it didn't match her own, it showed a lack of respect for what she had put into getting ready for the interview. I know the main thing I first looked for was how everyone was dressed. =)
Now, I was only interviewing for interns for our department (it was nice to see people at least concerned when I was dressed up today and told them it was for an interview) but the actual interview process was fairly easy. I wonder if I looked that nervous and scared when I was going for interviews. All I remember is the candidates repeated on the form we gave them to fill out all the information I gave during the introductory speech. Hoping to have final interviews at PHE on Friday so we can get someone in before I head to Miami (well, technically Hollywood, Florida) next Thursday.
Damn it's late. Tomorrow night is soccer practice (or, if it rains, ALIs). Thursday I think I have free (which probably means I'll be working or playing NCAA 2004) and then Friday is erickarae's congratulatory party for getting the job she wanted in Wilmington.
I think it sounds weird when I say that I'm having a going away party for my ex-girlfriend. Sounds kinda callous. =) Saturday at 9am is the first scrimmage for our team and Saturday night is the cross-dressing prom! Yay! I'm totally gonna weeeeen this year for prom queen.
Sunday I might sleep. That seems like a good idea. I'm gonna go do that.
