So I'm in Denver for the
2007 MLS All-Star game and so far I don't have a lot to say about this town. Our flight landed at 10:30 local time last night and it was darn near midnight by the time we got to the hotel downtown.
Why, you ask? Because there are no signs anywhere. None. Nothing about "this way to the interstate" or something along those lines. So, thanks to Google Maps for the Blackberry (seriously -- how did I not know about this shit before? It's sweet!) we navigated our way into town and stopped by a Sonic for dinner (my first trip to Sonic, ever).
One question for
jessindenver and
mcsnee ... do y'all know what a bagel is? Because no one in downtown Denver during my 20 minute walk around town either had this ubiquitous concoction nor knew where to get one. So my breakfast (lunch at home, breakfast here) is a turkey sandwich from Subway.
Good to know I'm really getting into the local culture.
More info once I really venture out of my hotel room. But seeing as we're launching a new expansion team site in about an hour, that seems really unlikely.
