Did you feel it?
I know most of the people that read this stuff don't live in New York ... which means you probably didn't feel the almost imperceptible shift that occured this morning.
Upon leaving my apartment, I could feel it in the air. The one thing that marks the end of one set of days and the beginning of another. Brings hope and joy to millions like me.
What is it? Cool air.
It certainly wasn't a brisk morning by any chance but, and I know we'll have another bout of 90 or 100 degree temps before we get to September, but, just ever so slightly, I could feel a hint of what's to come. Those late November afternoons kicking the leaf piles on the sidewalk and enveloping myself in blankets while visions of football (both kinds, silly Americans) dance on my television screen are almost here.
And, I'll be honest, I can't wait. I love fall.
