Until any remnant of any "no-fly" list, save those based specifically on criminal convictions, is gone, I will never, ever apply for any form of the NEXUS program.

The no-fly list might make sense if it was based specifically and only on criminal charge convictions or extant war crimes convictions, but since it's additionally based on group membership and country of birth it is a disgrace.

I hereby amend my previous statement on the main post to say, "any implementation of the 'no-fly' list based on anything more than on convictions of criminal or war criminal charges.'

I refuse to support racist policies.

And I would agree with you if it weren't for the fact that one of the cornerstones of our legal system is, "Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law." Without presumption of innocence, everyone might as well be on the no-fly lists.

He who would curtail freedom for security deserves neither.

Besides, if it were individual airlines having their own no-fly lists based on whatever criteria they wanted, I wouldn't care. It's our government doing it, effectively violating the primary prohibition against discrimination. L2basichumanrights.
