Dissapointing Album of the Year
Yep, 4 months in, and here it is:
Lacuna Coil - KarmaCode.
I've been listening to it and it's simply background noise. Not a single song jumps out at me. Even the cover of Enjoy the Silence (a song I really love) is subpar. I think it has mostly to do with the complete lack of metal. It's pretty much a poprock album. Not how I like to think of Lacuna Coil. I'm also not really a fan of the whole "Cristina sing and then Andrea echo the same line" or "Cristina sing the first 2 words and Andrea finish the sentence" on about every song. It feels like there's no back and forth vocals which make me love songs like Honeymoon Suite & My Wings. I don't even mind them singing choruses together like they did mostly in Comalies. However, it seems like that's all there is on KarmaCode. Them singing everything together with maybe a line here or there with one of them getting to sing alone. And nothing about the music stands out to offset the crappiness of the singing.
