I just cancelled my Nextel service and got a new prepaid phone this past weekend. I'm going to owe another $350 to Nextel between the cancellation fee & 2 months worth of service I still owe.
But I'm also going to fight back because I paid $20 for a handsfree headset I never received when I signed up. Plus I was billed a full month's service after only 2 weeks of being with Nextel. Which I paid late because I didn't realize it was due so soon having only had the service for a little over two weeks. So for 3 months straight I paid extra money on each bill because of that late fee. On top of that my service is absolutely horrible. I rarely get any at home and even when I have full bars, I never have a clear line. Calling home to the landline phone sucks. Calling my boyfriend on his cellphone sucks. Use my new T-Mobile service to call my boyfriend? Nothing wrong. My dad is a lawyer, two of my sister-in-law's are lawyers. I will fight this and get some of my money back.
I could have avoided the fees by changing over the service so someone else takes it over. But in all honesty, why would I subject any of my friends to this?
The only thing that sucks about this is I'm loosing my old number because T-Mobile prepay service isn't compatible with T-Mobile contract numbers and vice versa. Oh well. I can deal with that. I couldn't deal with Nextel any longer.
