One harsh day is over and a shadow of two people under the moonlight

When I close my eyes, a dim of happiness is still there as if I can grasp a hold of it

Even if a broken heart overshadowed all your dreams

Do remember, someone who painfully loves you is by your side

Once in a while, this road seems so far, feeling sad and tears are dropping

Even if the harsh wind blows upon us

We, two people, will be shelter for each other

The news about lawsuit of JYJ against SM. Entertainment broke loose, and fans cried of happiness when their idols finally received justice that they had been craving for, all of them, after years of indefinite waiting and tears being shed over injustice treatment and slave contract. They won.

It was havoc when their former management tried to start another lawsuit when the two members remaining abandoned their contract and fled away, but to the millions-worth company’s dismal, the court decided that the two should be released from their 11-years long contract, unless they chose to stay, which was not what Yunho and Changmin desired to do any longer.

Changmin was tired of constant worthless photoshoots, cliché drama productions, fanservices that he was forced to do and plain-white- box-like MV’s for their albums. Yunho simply yearned to dance and sing to worthy pieces or arts, freely and unscripted. They knew it’s hard for them to start over from the bottom, what else with their former management’s who would definitely cockblocking their activities. But they were tired of being tied on tight leash.

They met again, all five of them. Their meeting was planned by their dear friend, who owned a café which they used to cramp themselves together in a limited space of a backroom which they called as ‘tiny heaven of fried chickens’ back then when they were young and naïve and yearned for popularity. It was not a pleasant meeting to be honest. Curses were spat, fists flew at each other until Junsu broke down and cried, leaving the other four froze on their feet before Yoochun too cried, pulling Changmin into his arms and they collapsed onto the floor with tangled limbs, tears and snot were rubbed on Junsu as he was too pulled into the tight hug.

He shuddered, pushing the door to a private room, opened and slipped out, feet shuffled on the wooden floor as he made his way to the café’s toilet. Knuckles turned white as he gripped on the sink tightly, tears flowing rapidly like a broken dam, shoulders shook at his uncontrollable sobs with the water of the pipe running noisily, his sobs drowned away with the noise.

Yunho pushed the door silently, his sight immediately caught Jaejoong’s figure slumped in front of the mirror, his breath caught as he noticed the tears, tears of his beloved. Immediately wrapping his arms around the startled male, Yunho buried his face at the crook of his Jaejoong’s neck, his own eyes dampened with tears, tears of regret and longing. Jaejoong struggled from the sudden hug but complied when he felt dampness on his shoulder and more tears rolled down his cheek as he heard Yunho’s suppressed sobs. He unclasped Yunho’s arms away before he hugged the other male properly, face buried under Yunho’s throat.

“What are we, Yunho-ah?” His voice croaked after their sobs subsided into sniffles, his figure slumped in between Yunho’s legs who sat on the floor, uncaring about hygiene and smells.

Yunho stiffened, before regretting it immediately when Jaejoong’s face hardened at his expression. Tightening his hold onto the other’s body, Yunho shut his eyes tightly, leaning on the toilet’s antique-white wall.

“I love you, Jae. But I don’t want to drag you with my uncertain future. You know it’s gonna be ugly for Changmin and me to start over again, to stand up on our own.” He chuckled bitterly at the thought back then when Changmin and he told each other their dreams, when both of them funk on cigarettes and smoke some marijuana for the first and last time on the rooftop of their management building.

“I love you too.” Jaejoong ended it at that, face burrowed impossibly deeper at the crook of Yunho neck, forehead touching his unshaved ,stubble chin.

He dropped a kiss on Jaejoong’s head, murmuring how much he loved and missed the other man, in which Jaejoong just hummed and nodded, suppressing fresh tears from spilling.

Yunho smiled when the door bursted open, revealing Changmin and Yoochun’s tear-streaken faces with Junsu trailing behind them. The other three scrambled and hugged their hyungs, hands grasping on wherever their hands landed on, just for reassurances that it was not just another sick dream.

‘We will get over this together, Yunho-ah.’

Wherever you want to go, when you can't find the way, I'll be with you

I will remember only you in this life

We're still lacking but I'll be by your side forever

It was just another day where his supposed appearance on some TV programme was cancelled at the last minute. The producer gave some bullshit excuses when he knew they were threatened by the biggest and most successful entertainment company. SM’s leashes on TV stations were rather amusing which he never realized before, not before he experienced the sickness of those power possessed by SM could do on him, on them.

“Is this what Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun dealt with over the years?”

Yunho drown himself with alcohol, shots of soju at night, glasses of beer and cognac at dawn, whisky for lunch. He believed that his body contained of nothing else but alcoholic fluids and maybe some nicotine too as he smoked average two packs in one day. He called Jaejoong and slurred some nonsensical things to the slender man, sniffling on his phone and whimpering when his phone beeping insistently as the battery ran low. Jaejoong promised him a pot of hot kimchi jigae and the next day he got what he craved for years, along with the man he loved, loves.

After few days drowned in alcohol and nicotine, he got a grip of himself and bought a train ticket to somewhere he had never been to in his whole after 27 years life living in that country, somewhere people grew vegetables on their backyard, somewhere where most girls wore long skirts or loose pants instead of mini-skirts and shorts. Never having been into a wet market before, Yunho walked there in the wee hours of morning, shocked as even at early three in the morning, people were already up, leaving their comforts and started working, carrying boxes of fresh seafood and lifting sacks of greens to distributed to restaurants or to be sent to the city. His chest tightened at the sight, his life was far more comfortable, that he didn’t sweat as much as them even after ten years since his first debut. Their passion in their life was one what moved him. He smiled at a boy who only half of his age, helping his father without any complains.

He called his dad first thing as the dawn came, telling him how he was sorry and love the middle-age man, asking him to hug and kiss his mom and baby sister on behalf of him. He called Jaejoong again, in which the other man never failed to pick up, telling him where he was, why he was there, how he loved and appreciated the man on the other line.

“I love you.”

We will light each other when lost in the dark

Even if the dream that we're looking for in the future is not there

The moment we share now is more precious to me

Jaejoong raked his fingers on Yunho’s damp hairs, massaging the scalp of the drunken man who moaned appreciatively at the soft, warm touch. Tucking the younger man under the blanket, he tried to make his way out of the room, to clean up the messy apartment but Yunho tugged his wrist, pulling him into the warmness of his embrace, which he terribly missed over the years. He succumbed and curled himself more into the other man’s arms, face tucked under Yunho’s chin and arm laid on the drunken man’s chest, drinking Yunho’s features, his jaw, his nose and lips, even that mole on his upper lip. He sighed, hoping that his Yunho would come to his senses as soon as possible because honestly he couldn’t face this Yunho, his Yunho who drank to oblivion, not caring of anyone else and drowning into his sorrow.

It’s been long since the last time he cooked for Yunho, so long that he didn’t even remember what the last dish he ever cooked for the other man was. It felt good when your loved one woke up to the smell of your food waffled into the air, making his alcohol-filled stomach growled at the smell of real food.

Yunho had kissed him a million times, too many that he lost count but that soft kiss he placed on his plump lips after they were done with their breakfast made his heart thumped and stomach flipped. He felt ridiculous for having that kind of feeling even after years of being in relationship with the other. His inside squirmed when Yunho insisted that he should be the one doing the dishes. He remembered, Yunho remembered, that he hated doing the dishes.

He spent two days at Yunho’s apartment, coaxing the other man to open up and pour all those concerns he had bottled up at him. They talked and kissed, more kissing than talking but they enjoyed every bit of it nonetheless.

“What will happen to TVXQ, Jaejoongie-ah?”

He didn’t answer him, but Jaejoong hugged him so damn tight that he cried.

Once in a while, this road seems so far, feeling sad and tears are dropping

Even if the harsh wind blows upon us

We, two people, will be shelter for each other

Strong wind blows again and again, that harsh day will pass by

It was hard, so hard when fans that he thought would always stayed together, keeping their faith together were falling apart, choosing which sides to stay with. Arguing and cussing at each other like they didn’t belong to the same fandom. Someone told him that being their fans, being a Cassiopeia was hard, too many dramas and unstable emotional fans were easily swayed with groundless news and rumors. His jaw clenched as he scrolled down the comments of one of their fansites, too many craps written and individual’s fans words could be so damn hurtful at times.

‘What’s it with black ocean for the them just because the other member is not their favorite one?’

‘What with all these cussing they received just because all five of them didn’t have scheduled together anymore?’

Yunho sighed, chin propped on his knees that he hugged close to his chest, squatting on the wooden chair he bought just because Changmin said plastic chair wasn’t safe for his sitting position. He shivered when Jaejoong’s cold arms were wrapped around his neck, placing a soft kiss on his head, murmuring how it was late and how he needed to lay off the net for few days. He sighed, Jaejoong had been persistent about living under the same roof with him, which was why the shorter male would occasionally slept over at his apartment because he himself always found excuses to not to live together just yet, because he knew he was not stable, mentally and physically worn out.

Jaejoong shut the laptop off, tugging Yunho into the bedroom because he knew their leader, his leader was tired of all the things that had happened to him, to them. He sometimes would wake up to Yunho’s suppressed sobs, which he would too cry together with him, it was heartbreaking when his strong Yunho cried, tears ran down like a broken child.

Yunho smiled when his Jaejoong snuggled close to him, stealing his warmth and maybe sharing some of his misery together because he knew Jaejoong was a kind and generous man, someone who would share his sadness instead of his happiness.

‘What did I do in my past life to deserve you?’

It was just another day where Jaejoong would push him into the bathroom and ordered him to take a bath because “You smell like Vick, Yunho”. And before he knew it, he was holding Vick’s leash, following that huge Great Pyrenees into a park with himself wearing a baseball cap and oversize jacket with a Ray Ban. It was ridiculous of how much time Jaejoong spent with him these few months, it was like their hips were attached to each other because the other man thought that he needed someone by himself, which he never argue, because it was the truth anyway.

Junsu and Yoochun were both busy with their solo works, musicals and dramas. Changmin went back to his hometown, to meet his family that he missed so damn much, in which he said “I’m sick of your face, hyung. I’m going to visit my family, after that we will think of what to do.” And he left with a slap on Jaejoong’s back, telling him “Take care of that big baby, hyung.”

Jaejoong, his Jaejoong was so damn beautiful, inside and out. When the other man said “I love you”, he felt like it was a dream, too good to be true at certain times. Their relationship was going strong and steady, and he wished no one would come in between them, because Jaejoong was forever his.

The chants were so beautiful, so loud that it was frightening, he thought that the dome would be destroyed by their loud voice. Their fans called out their names, Changmin and his. The whole dome was filled with red lightsticks and pearl-red balloons, banners of different fansites and pairings were hung. He took Changmin’s hand into his with their dancers’ hands hovering above them, shouting ‘Toho Fighto! Toho Fighto!’ so loud that it was deafening.

When both Changmin and he walked to the stage, the screams were incredible that shivers ran down his spine. Their fans, from middle-graders to married women waving their lightsticks and balloons, fanboys’ screams, declaring their love to them created laughter. He smiled. Their fans were so damn precious that it hurt.

Maybe it would take few more years for them to be able to comeback as a five-member group, to clear their fixed schedule and attend their military services. But it would be worth the wait, he just prayed that their fans would still keep their faith even after all these years. It was ridiculous to leave the fandom after what they had been through. It was stupid.

I still hate you for making me wrote angst ;_;

A/N 2: Wrote this even before SM decided to back off and retreat all the lawsuits, so yeah it kinda gave me a chill to finish this off, though neither JYJ nor SM win the lawsuit in real life. LOL. Sucks I know. Btw, angst is not my favorite, so yeah I hope this isn’t very much a failure…

This fic is purely fiction and the plot belongs to me.  tehah-hero.livejournal.com ™
