I'm alive

So spring break was last week, it came and went. Although, it was EVENTFUL, I didn't really relax as much as I would have liked I guess.
So i slept through my class by accident thismorning, first time ever. But I don't really feel that bad since we're just watching Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window. My professor stops the movie every 15 minutes to ask really obvious questions like "okay, so what just happened?" honestly, Written Communication is Language Arts straight out of 7th or 6th grade. fucking ridiculous class!

Today at 1 i'm looking at apartments in the Mission Hill area. We're currently looking for a 4bed 2bath apartments in the $2600 to $3000 a month but the plus side is that we have a total of 7 people going in for an apartment. Me, Ryan, Paige, Kit, Chilly, Tom and Sam(?) are going to be roomates? haha it's kind of funny actually but it'll be cheep and much like a sitcom. The one we are currently most interested is on the top floor and has a porch! But i'm sure we'll find something cooler today. i'm so excited! Although, it still won't feel like i'm "living on my own" since I'll always be around people!

We don't have class tomorrow in celebration of Evacuation Day so I'm going to Worcester to visit Ryan for a long weekend. I'm really looking forward to it.

oh yeah, this past week, 2 tibetan monks have been working on a sand mandala in the Brant gallery and I took some pictures and videos of it. I'm going to post the pictures on flickr soon. They basically make an intricate sand painging out of compleately loose colored sand on a table the size of a card table and at the end of the week (after it's compleated) they are going to dismantle it by pushig all the sand into the middle, putting it into a bottle and then carying it to running water (the river in the Fens) and dumping out the sand. One of the monks talked to our class about the spiritual meaning behind the mandala and about bhuddism in general. it was amazing! It really helped me get through the day yesterday. (that and the ridiulously beautiful weather)

oh, and i don't think i've posted it here..
but I got the year long LEX internship in Japan for 2008-2009 (not next year) which was unusual. But it feels pretty awesome knowing that I WILL DEFINITELY BE SPENDING AN ENTIRE YEAR IN JAPAN in 2008. but worry not, i'm still voting in the presidential election! But anyway, if this is the first time you've heard of me even applying for this thing, let alone getting, a description of the internship is because i absolutely suck at describing it when people ask me about it. haha i'm sure i'll get better at it this summer whenever i'm surrounded by family becasue of robbie's graduation and wedding.

i guess that wraps up this livejournal update.
