There used to be a time when songs didn't mean anything. Songs like "The Monster Mash" are from that bygone era of juicy meaninglessness. I mean, a song about a dude who creates some kind of freak that begins to dance immediately after drawing its first breath? WHAT THE FUCK, RIGHT?? It even talks about Dracula and the Wolfman! All the monsters start a band in this song. It's true. Listen to it. Or at least read the lyrics.

Nowadays songs all have to have some kind of MESSAGE behind them. Well fuck that, I say. Here's my submission for this generation's meaningless song:

There was a rabbit who lived in his hutch
No Tivo had he, just ears and a crutch
His hopping was stunted from a freak accident
But did that get him down? No, sir, it din't!

He still found the strength to frolic and play
He still found the will to live through each day
This bunny was humble, this bunny was quaint,
This bunny, considered by many a saint,

Could still out-hobble the wiliest fox
But did it end there? Hell no! At the stocks
He was a god damn genius, a wonder of sorts,
The kind of guy who gets on "Fox Reports"

He made stacks of fat cash, and with this new green,
Bought carrots and cabbage for disconsolate teens
Even opened a shelter for the used and abused
And signed all his checks as "From mes to yous."

NOW! That song was so fucking bad ass. But does it mean anything? Not really, unless you want to dig into it for some kind of symbolism, all Dr. Wilson stylezzz. It's about a simple rabbit, wounded in some on-the-job fuckup, and living the good life despite it all. Kind of inspirational, but it's still about a fucking rabbit.

And don't even MENTION Watership Down. I know bunnies can symbolize other things, you don't have to put things in my butt to prove it.

That's basically all I have for today. I hope this time has been as enjoyable for you as it has for me.

Wait, post scriptum! Fat girls are still disgusting. Especially when their overweight, husky appearance is coupled with a repulsive and self-centered personality. No, I'm not going to get over it.
