If you go into a fast food resteraunt at lunch time or even around lunch time you should smile at the person at the counter and say, "Tough day?" or "Crowded, huh?" because 1) IT MOST DEFINITELY IS and 2) that lets them know that you understand if they're a little frazzled and take a few seconds longer to pull up your order. If you can't find in your small, crusty heart to do this then 1) they'll spit on your sandwich* and 2) I hate you**.
