(no subject)
So in case none of you guys on my flist know, I'm in the school marching band. I play bass drum. I've never played a drum in my life, but seriously. It's bass drum. I don't play any brass instrument and he needed a drummer so there we go.
It is amazing and awesome and I love everyone there except one of the other drummers but it's all good. The director is insane and has a whole routine where one of the color guard gets her purse stolen and we play the Batman theme. It's awesome.
We all marched outside in our uniforms today. We fitted them yesterday so today was the first time we wore the whole ensemble and walked around in it.
Our school colors are purple and gold.
WE ARE ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS.

Imagine that on a bunch of people. The gray thing is a PLUME, by the way. Not a feather. And it's on a SHAKO, not a hat. Not referring to a shako by its proper name earns you ten pushups from the teacher. No I'm serious.
The drum major wears basically the same thing, but instead of purple, it's white, and instead of yellow stripes in the middle, he has FABULOUS SEQUIN PURPLE AND GOLD SASHES.
We are so fabulous.
Did I mention how fabulous marching band was?
Franz Fabunand was in marching band. Wait he's Austrian. He was in marching OOMPA band.
