Finally here
Alright, about 7 months in the making, I decided what my resolution will be.
Stop trying/Don't try to win people over.
It seems the last time I tried this out it worked out pretty well. I met Maria, developed a lasting relationship with her (through ugly and beautiful stages), and I had self-confidence, something I sorely need now. So another translation of that could be: Don't go looking for love. Which is good for guys. A friend much wiser than myself whom I wish I still talked to once told me "Guys are like dogs, they go looking for love but never find it. If they were more patient like cats and waited for it, they would get more and wouldn't feel like they owed who was loving them for it". She taught me much, but that was one of her lessons that stuck to me most clearly. (note: the words aren't exact, but I'm 96% sure) So yeah, no more trying to impress anyone, no more alterior motives (had I any in the first place), but this may mean I'm less enthusiastic about helping anyone.
