the love meme 1. Because she's the second most awesome person he's ever met. (And he actually meant it when he told her.)
2. Because first of all they're bros, and that's not a title he grants lightly.
3. Because she was a freaking teenage popstar in Canada, and that level of lame can't be measured.
4. Because she cuddled in her sleep, after they had sex, and Barney still finds it amusing whenever he thinks about it.
5. Because Sandcastles in the Sand got him laid (and created a whole new level in the Scale of Lame. Seriously.)
6. Because she's Robin, which, seriously, should be enough.

to the love meme [I]
Because she’s the only sane person he finds, when he walks into that place. Cardiff, for God’s sake. Not only that, aliens. Xander is thrilled, of course. He just wants a cup of tea.
They drink it together, over a quiet chat, and there’s something about her. Something that reminds him of Jenny, of Buffy. Something quiet and hidden, that says she’s lived through more than she should.
He thinks he could get used to that place.
[II]
Because “oh, my god. Vampires? Really?”, and her grin lights up the entire room. Rupert has been through lots of situations, but he’s not used to people finding death and carnage amusing.
“You chase aliens,” he says. And... that says it all, actually.
“I know, but... Vampires!”
He sighs. He’s getting too old for the job.
[III]
Because she’s normal, underneath. Because she’s just a girl who’s been dragged into all this madness, and he’s seen lots of that. But there’s something different about her. Because she’s been in this madness for too long, and she still is that girl, deep inside. And it’s just like Buffy, in a way.
[IV]
Because she is a doctor and, let’s face it, he’s a bit of a hypochondriac.
