I don't know what it is about tollbooths

Roughly 2 years ago I told you about a dream I had involving a tollbooth. Well, I had another Monday evening / Tuesday morning.

This time instead of watching someone get change for a dollar.. I am at the tollboth trying to pay my toll, but it just isn't happening.

First of all, i've got the I-pass thing, so I don't know why I'm in a "toss the coins into the bucket lane". Second of all, it didn't read my I-pass so it's not opening the tollgate. After waving it around trying to get the sensor-thing to detect my I-pass I give up and look for change. This proves difficult and pisses off the people in line behind me. I eventually find money and toss it into the bucket, but I'm still not getting the OK nor is the tollgate lifting up.

Frustrated and pissed off I just run though the tollgate destroying the little wooden arm.

Immediately a cop is on me not more then 250 feet from the toll plaza (likely even less). I explain the situation to him and tell him I tried to pay the toll, but it wasn't working.

He understands my situation but explains that I should have just chilled and waited for an attendant to lift the gate for me. He charges me with a "7.17 Becoming compliant with the law" citation.

As he explains the 7.17 (Read Seven Seventeen) allows him to record and charge me for the destruction of the tollgate. It carries no penalty aside from having to show up in court plead guilty and pay for repairs. It's even sealed away from my insurance company so they won't find out about it.

In other words he's going easy on me.

I don't get what it is about these tollboth dreams though.
