THE END OF AN EPIC DAY!
OK, part 3 of my epic day of Adam-epic! Sorry it took so long, but I made the mature choice to interact with the world and spend time with relatives I like but see far too rarely, and to enjoy my visit to our lovely capital, which I hadn't been to for the past fifteen years.
Let's see, where was I? Rushing down the stairs to get into the nightclub, right? I couldn't stop myself from shouting out to MTV-Mirre at the entrance "Are you exited? I'm exited!" She looked at me like I was crazy, which was an accurate assessment! ;)
There were two ways to go, left or right, because the back wall of the stage was almost right at the entrance. I had to choose which side of the stage to stand on, because the middle was absolutely packed all the way to the bar, it seemed. I went with the right side, henceforth known as the painfully cool side and scorned the left, henceforth known as the side of weird!
I had a few minutes to do some exited texting, wave at birdisland and tokoshie, finally put on my specially made peacock feather-earrings and try to calm down and breathe and take it all in! Videoscreens around the room and on the stage wall were playing what looked like all available official post-Idol Adam footage, like the behind the scenes from the CD photo shoot and making of his videos, but the music was Lady Gaga. From this point on there is filmed evidence on youtube, so you don't have to take just my word for it!
At 19:08 Mirre came out to announce Adam and then LP, Monte and ADAM came in!1!!!111! Wolf whistles and cheering all around! And YES: IT*S TOTALLY ME SHOUTING "LP IN DA HOUSE; WOHOOO!" AT HIM! I totally freaked him out, poor thing! He cast me some suspicious looks during the rest of the concert when I cheered too loud! lol! He's thinner than I expected, and has a Harry Potter scar on the side of his nose (the Drummer Who Lived, lol!). Having read the maybe three Adam/LP fics out there the night before I spent some time contemplating that pairing, and found it quite interesting!
Monte had hilarious hair! And seemed friendly, but focused!
ADAM was so very, very pretty! It was possibly the prettiest outfit ever! Grey striped three piece suit, with top two buttons done, black ascot thingie, epic black riding boots (UNF!), black leather gloves, hoop in ring in left ear, hair up and rosy, rosy lips. I shall not tl;dr about his general unf!iness, nor what I want to do with those epic boots, even though I really want to. Anyone interested can PM me! ;D
As you all have already seen on youtube he did Music Again, WWFM, Sleepwalker and Mad World(boppy version)! There was quite a lot of talk from him between songs. LP was seriously focused on the drumming and cute!
There was this weird energy in the room, where everyone (who wasn't a cool media person) were kind of completely focused on Adam and his every move. People seemed to hold their breaths while he sang and erupt in cheering when he was done. Nobody danced or sang along, everybody seemed to be focused on holding their cameras and positions and not moving. I felt quite self conscious trying to dig to the music and didn't want to disrupt anyone's filming. LP's glares didn't help either.
There was this rude round black guy who muscled his way past me to the stage during MA, and I thought about starting a beef, but then I realized he was security, so it was a good thing I didn't! The stage was sooo tiny and a swan dive wold easily have landed me in LP's lap. Later I saw that there was just speakers and what looked like a yellow plastic flotation device separating
the people on the side from the stage. That and the security guy!
I had some media people behind me on the painfully cool side, and when I saw Kishti Tomita trying to take pictures during SW, I offered to hold her cell for her. She was very, very tiny, like not even to my boobs short. But I think she got annoyed when I didn't get how to work the filming thing.
Then it was suddenly over! Adam and band left! People just stood there stunned and I was like "extra numbers, right?" Very Good Thing the bland!sony rep came out behind me and went like "come on people, gotta show it if you want more, cheer!" so I was the first(among the painfully cool people) to start clapping and doing the Swedish classic of "en gång till! en gång till!" ie "one more time! one more time!" and then the rest of the audience joined in and they came out again and did Broken Open and Down the Rabbit Hole!
Broken Open was soo good, it gave me chills! Then Chatty Cahty happened, but she gets her own post! DTRH was the best song of the night, and I remember thinking Adam should have a bigger stage so that he could MOVE. When he stod up it took a minute of hip!gyrating for me to think: "Wait a minute, why am I looking at LP's drums? I should be checking out the GLAMBULGE"! So I leaned as far to the left as I could and lo; I SAW IT AND IT WAS GOOD:

Now that I think of it, the belly!dancer!thing might actually have been during DTRH, saw it on clips a few days ago, but have no way to check it now!
He sounds sooo good! He's very particular about the sound, and asked the sound guy to change something at least three or four times! Kinda impressive for a half hour show! There was even a tech crawling around on the floor, during SW I think! It was all acoustic, no backing track to clash with his voice like sometimes on TV. OMG, Broken Open was soo good, very breathy and all the high notes! The audience was enthralled (with the one notable exception D:)
I don't get people who look at DTRH on youtube and claim that he's got to be high during. IT*S AN ACT, PEOPLE! He was theatrical during MA, intense during SW, vulnerable during BO, almost political during MW. It's called interpreting the lyrics!
Then it was over for real! Adam left, people left, I met up with tokoshie, birdisland, joon, elizaria and elizaria's BFF.
