worth mentoning
Was out looking for a job this afternoon and stopped in at a book store to talk to the owner about working there. Had a good conversation, discussed some opinions about authors and the kind of feel fantasy and scifi books have taken recently. Turns out he wasn't hiring but said he would keep me in mind if he needed some temp help or a replacement and then proceeded to ask if he could keep the resume I gave him. I said, "No, I was expecting you to memorize it and give it back, actually." He just kinda look at me surprised, obviously not sure if I'm being serious or not until I smile, at which point he laughs and turns to one of his employees and says, "See this guy has, like, personal... customer..." He looked like he was having a hard time coming up with a term so I supplied, "Professional interpersonal relation skills?" He said, "Yeah, that's it!" and I shot back, "I just call it sarcasm." He and the employee cracked up and I chuckled.
