Thank god it's friday. It's amazing how much my outlook on this job has changed. Mr Shenk retired and sold his pratice to two other lawyers, one of which is a good guy in his own way. Arizona is a right-to-work state. They can fire you for no reason. If that happens, you aren't necessarily guaranteed unemployment. Count your blessings - a lot of people don't have jobs, and need them.

Right-to-work only applies if I've signed the paperwork for it stating so. As far as I know it's not a given that a person can be fired without just cause, and the only paperwork I filled out was a tax form. Hell, they didn't even set my hours down on paper. Besides, when I accepted this job I was also in the process of being hired as a shift leader at krispy kreme doughnuts. The only reason I took this job instead was because it was a lot closer to home and they were offering me an immeadiate position, as opposed to krispy kreme who was dilly-dalling.

And I know I'm not necessarily guaranteed unemployment, I was just saying that this job went from being a totally awesome thing to being a daily frustration.

Right-to-work is an implied-law system. That's just how it works in AZ, it's not something they have to tell you every time.

Yeah.... Even if work sucks, I wouldn't exactly try to get fired at this current time.

I'll never TRY to get fired. When it comes to work, I (generally) do my damnedest to be the best, even if I don't like the job.
