Drabble # 279
Tegoshi looked at his boyfriend’s smiling face and back to the fancy Italian restaurant in front of them. The place was crowded with customers, loud but inviting music played and the personnel smiled at the couple through the window. It looked wonderful, just like the perfect spot for a romantic dinner.
“What’s the occasion, Pi?”
Tegoshi asked worried, he hadn’t forgotten any special date, right?
The older man smiled back at him and shrugged. “Does there have to be one?”
Tegoshi licked his lips nervously and shook his head. “I guess not.”
“So, let’s go inside shall we?” Yamapi wrapped his arm around the younger man and tried to get him going but he wouldn’t move just yet. He looked back into the older man’s eyes as if he was seeking for something long forgotten.
“Are you sure? We could have sushi take out from there.” Tegoshi suggested and pointed toward a small cheap looking sushi bar on the other side of the road. Yamapi shook his head and tilt the younger’s head toward him. “I don’t want fish tonight.” He smiled once more and pressed a chaste kiss onto Tegoshi’s cheek. “I want pasta and you, in there.” Yamapi pointed his finger at the large window of earlier mentioned Italian restaurant.
Tegoshi rolled his eyes and sighed. The older singer took him by his hand and pulled him toward the entrance where a tall black haired man in a suit welcomed them with a warm smile.
“And tonight I want the most expensive champagne too!” Yamapi said cheerfully as he gave the younger’s hand a light squeeze.
“No you are not!” Tegoshi protested, which earned him a serious look from his boyfriend.
“Oh yes I will.” Yamapi replied with a wide smile, poking the younger’s cheek as they were lead toward a table for two.
“You are crazy!”
Tegoshi gave the other’s shoulder a firm smack.
“I know I am crazy.” Yamapi winked at his boyfriend who rolled his eyes at him, again. “Crazy for you!” he added, and watched Tegoshi’s annoyed look fade into the sweetest smile as his cheeks blushed a cute deep red.
