I think I have finally decided on which cell phone I am going to buy. Of course, I say that every week and each time it is a different selection, and this week is no exception.
This time, I have decided to forgo the PSP in exchange for a more midrange walkman phone and get a separate digital camera as well.
Here is what I am looking at:
- Sony Ericssion W580i Cell Phone [

- Sony Cyber-shot DSCW110B Digital Camera [

The choice of the W580i cell phone is not without some irony, as it was the very first cell phone I was looking at a few months back (talk about going around in circles, or ending up where you started!). It is a bit on the pricey side, true, at $299, but it boasts long battery life, good media playback, a pedometer, and I know this phone will receive two bars in my basement apartment, as I once brought over a friend who had it. (As opposed to the W300i my roommate had, and he was always running outside to make and receive calls)
The camera, on the other hand, is more of an unnecessary luxury purchase. In part, it is to make up for the lack of a good camera on the W580i, but also to finally update my 2002 2.0MP Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P31 digital camera. Which by today's standards is an electronic brick.
Of course, I'll also need to purchase memory sticks for both of them as well (and, go figure, they both take different kinds, darn!).
But that's the plan this week. What do you guys think?
