WWE wrestling star Eddie Guerrero has
died. He was only 38. Yet another wrestling star that I either watch now or grew up watching on TV who has passed away long before his time.
WWE turned last night's RAW TV show into a tribute to their fallen colleague. Taped testimonials from Guererro's friends and co-workers were seen throughout the show. It was a little bit surreal to see these athletes -- huge men whose on-screen personnas have been built up as near-indestructible -- unashamedly breaking down on camera as they said goodbye. Sometimes as a fan you forget that behind all the hype and all the muscle these are still human beings who feel the same feelings as the rest of us.
Eddie Guerrero overcame much in his life to reach the pinnacle of his profession, and he made a difference in the lives of so many. If there is a better place for us to be in, I'm sure that he's there now. RIP, Latino Heat.
