The State of Play

Well, the scores on the doors in Round V of the Faces Quiz have chromodynamics leaping straight to the top of the Roll of Honour with an excellent 24½. Impressive. Most impressive. :D

However, disproving my suspicion that after the Brit biased Kids' Programmes quiz, this one might prove more American friendly, the silver and bronze medal positions are currently held by a Brit and an Icelander, being frayer (22½, Silver medal position) and hildigunnur (21, bronze medal position).

That's, of course, taking answers on the first attempt. In terms of iterative scores, shelaghc has sneaked into that final podium spot with a score of 22.

Now, the connection. I'm being harsh fair, here. I'm looking for a quite specific category of answer. Some of you have lost a ½ point for being over specific (and, thereby, ruling out part of the connection). Some of you have lost a ½ point for being too general.

Harsh, but fair. That is my motto*. Harsh. But fair. *nods*

Answers on Friday morning, so there's still time, and chromodynamics hasn't got that gold medal position locked down. Remember, though, that when equal scores are posted, the first posting of that score takes precedence in the Roll of Honour (also known as 'teh eBay rule'). So, if you think you can name all 25 faces and identify the mystery connection, now's the time to say so, before someone else beats you to it!

* - said motto is right up there with 'Marmite with everything!', and, in homage to Calvin's dad, 'Being miserable builds character!'. :D

As an aside, I really appreciate you all taking the time to take part in the quizzes, and I hope you're enjoying playing.
