Yesterday despite all the road blocks offered by Ford, I released myself from the bottomless pit of repairs known as the Fiesta and got the keys to a new car. The Prius I was looking at was.. pretty gross, and they wouldn't repair a few of the issues I had with it or change the price. Which is whatever. So instead I went with my next choice, which was a 2016 Hyundai Elantra. Reviews, talking to friends who have had this brand for years, and lots of research went into it. Gross amounts of research. I am hoping to avoid the same issue I ran into with my Fiesta.
It's fancy. It was a lease, that was repossessed.. but had all the scheduled maintence performed and it doesn't look like something that was beat up at all. The Prius I looked at, THAT looked like a repossessed car. Interior looks awesome, as does the exterior. And based on what that Prius looked like (and a few other cars on the lot) I have the feeling that if something WAS cosmetically wrong with the car they would not have fixed it. Which in this case is a good sign.
According to Carfax it was repossessed in Ohio, which explains the 18,000 miles on it. Which IS a lot of miles. But highway miles are kinder than city so.. whatever. As long as the maintence was performed I see no real downfall to this. Cars are meant to be driven, and if they are cared for then they should be fine. Anyway, here she is.
I am really excited about this car. I'm nervous, because it is by far the nicest car I have ever owned. And newest! It's a lot of 'est' for me.
I'm kind of nervous because I don't want to hurt it, because it's so nice! And because I don't want anything to go wrong with it.
All my old cars.. no one would fuck with because they looked like a young persons car, that wouldn't have anything nice in it. This car... this car is all nice. More vigilance is required.
