Family Drama
So, my father-in-law is in hospital. He has a mass in one kidney and blockages in both his legs (arterial blockages I think). However, nobody will be visiting him. At least, my husband and his brother will not be visiting him. Why? Because of his crazy wife (my husband's stepmom). Back in 2010 she filed petitions for restraining orders against my husband, my brother-in-law, and myself. Among the reams of crazy, she also sat there and told the judge that we use our computers to twist her intestines, and that my husband used his computer to kill his Aunt Joy from several states away. Of course, the judge told her she needed mental health treatment and denied the petitions. However, this has made us all wary of anything to do with her. My husband and brother-in-law are worried that if they visit their dad in hospital and he dies, she will try to claim they are responsible. So, they're just going to stay away.
I am 100% convinced that this woman is an undiagnosed paranoid schizophrenic. Unfortunately, her husband believes everything she says (which, in my book, makes him mentally unstable as well). I feel bad for her, but she refuses to seek help and nobody who can legally get her committed is willing to do so. I've told my husband I will not go anywhere near her, even if that means skipping functions with his family because she is there or close by. I know this is going to end up causing trouble, but the safety of my kids and myself is more important than worrying about hurting someone's feelings.
