(no subject)
Once again it's been far too long without a post. The holidays went as well as could be expected, we were all sick. I had a terrible head cold that pretty much put me out of action, I was hopped up on a bunch of cold meds for the entire weekend. Even now I'm still kind congested. It's not been fun.
Nolan was excited about all the presents. To help manage the new toy clutter we got some of those pull out bins. Looking at them right now though, I can see that half of them are pulled out and at least a third have their entire contents scattered on the floor. So much for organization.
The basement project has been stressful. This week is odd, both my father and I are off work, but there's not really a lot of work we can do on the basement, it's more about figuring out what needs to be done to move forward. The plumber came and did the ground work for the new bathroom, so today we poured concrete over it all for the new floor. But we need to get the tub so he can plumb that in before we can build the wall for a lot of the other water to run in. Same goes on the other end of the room, he needs a wall to plumb in, we need the plumbing moved so we can build the wall. It's almost a catch-22. (Excuse me if I used that phrase wrong, I couldn't stand that book and never even got through the first 20 pages.)
I think the next step is actually shopping for a bathtub so that I can put it in place and he can come do his thing with that and do a bunch of the other work, then walls, and he comes back yet again to do the rest of the work...
Whatever, it's stressful, and I'm sick, and tired. Tired all the time.
