Paintball is fun!

Iman organised this paintball event in Dubai over the weekend and 11 of us went to have a go at it. 8 guys and 3 gals. Good thing that it starts at 8pm, otherwise we'll die of heatstroke before we even start shooting at each other! Oh BTW temperature here is around 42 deg now at noon time and will still increase gradually till Aug to around 50 deg. Scorching Hot! When the wind blows it's like blowing a hair dryer in your face. Even at night and though we only played like an hour plus, we were drenched in sweat and dirt, panting in our great overalls at the end of the game.

It was great fun as we split up into 2 groups (me and siong in same group) followed by a brief introduction by the marshals who worked there. I understand like maybe 10% of what he says and was doubtful what to do. But it should be simple right? Hide, aim and shoot. Oh I learn to work in pairs so there'll be always someone to cover our asses, unless that person 'dies' of cos. Nana is my partner and we name ourselves the Hot Chicks Team. (Other guys have serious boring names like Team A, and Team B... Blah!) The paintball gun was heavier than I expected and can shoot up to 25m, further than I expected too. Oh and it hurts! Especially if you shoot at close range. Siong and Iman has several 20cents bruises that looks like burn marks. I was shot in my ear! It was extremely painful and tears were rolling down (luckily nobody can see me behind my mask plus it was dark) and I couldn't move or say anything for several minutes. Although we have face mask to protect our eyes, the pellet still managed to find its way to my ear. Still haven't found the bastard who shot me! Anyway the pain was enough to make me afraid of being shot again. Other than the ear pain, I received a big bruise on my knee and of cos an aching body which I'm still suffering after the 3rd day. Nevertheless It was a great workout and great fun at that. Can't wait for the next one! Siong had alot of fun jumping around and rolling about in the sand. I think it's like a dream come true for him, playing and shooting with guns. Boys!
