Assignment from my old fiction writing class (I wrote mine in June 2000):
List 10 things you're seen, heard, tasted, experienced that no one else has.
1) Sang the theme song to "Laverne & Shirley" in the schoolyard while performing a dance routine when I was in grade school.
2) Pretended I was a rock star at the Amesbury Park bandstand.
3) Wrote a quality assurance manual for a factory when I had never written a quality assurance manual before and didn't know anything about the industry I was writing it for.
4) Created a medallion saying that I loved somebody and then intentionally "lost" is in his front yard on my way home from school.
5) Painted "T.F. -hearts- M.B." (not Mark Blucas!) in large letters using pink fingernail polish at Landry Stadium.
6) Wore fishnet stockings and handcuff earrings while taking the subway to see the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" in Harvard Square.
7) Hid on top of the jungle-gym at daycare and insisted I was "too old and mature" to be forced to take a nap at the age of 4.
8) Danced four perfect pirouettes to Bruce Springstein's "Dancing In the Dark" in the living room of my dance instructor's house with nobody there to see.
9) Sang "Barbara Ann" on the Hampton Beach stage at the age of 3 with The Beach Boys.
10) Believed that I could only talk to my invisible friend in the bathroom at my grandmother's house because that is where the communicator was.
